The Asia Pacific Foundation (APF) will host the following event on July 25, 2012:

“One of the most important recent developments in Canada-Asia relations is the renewal of diplomatic ties with Burma. With cautious optimism about political reform and economic liberalization in Burma, more Canadians are paying attention to developments in that country, including business opportunities for Canadian companies. To assess the opportunities, the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada in partnership with Heenan Blaikie LLP will host a roundtable entitled, “Burma’s Opening: A way forward for Canadian business?” Canadian Burma experts residing in Southeast Asia, including in Yangon, will provide their assessments and advice on doing business in Burma. The event will be attended by the Honourable Ed Fast, Minister of International Trade and Minister for the Asia-Pacific Gateway and is by invitation only.”
